People Capability Maturity Model


People Capability Maturity Model is a maturity framework that focuses
on Continuously improving the management and development of the organizational workforce. It provides an evolutionary path from inconsistent organizational practices,

to a highly developed, disciplined developmental practices that aim at continuously developing the knowledge, skills and motivation of the workforce. In other words, it provides a road map for changing the current organizational practices to a matured state, that aim at strategic business performance by continually improving the workforce developmental activities.

People CMM was first published in 1995, and has been used by many companies such IBM, TCS, Ericsson etc. It provides an integrated system of workforce practices that matures/develops through a transformation in organizational practices, objectives and culture as per the changing trends.

People CMM consists of five maturity levels that give rise to organizational workforce practices and precessed,. After each maturity level, a new set of practices and added to those implemented previously.

People CMM is a process-based model and is being developed from workforce practices and process improvement techniques that were effective in other organizations.

People CMM is a maturity framework for implementing workforce practices that continually improve the workforce capabilities.
